On the occasion of actor Naga Chaitanya’s 39th birthday today, the makers of his next project, tentatively titled NC24, officially unveiled the film’s title and a ferocious first-look poster. The ambitious film, a mythical thriller directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame, is now titled ‘Vrushakarma’. Superstar Mahesh Babu took to social media to launch the title and poster, extending his birthday wishes and generating massive buzz for the project, which is being jointly produced by Sukumar Writings and Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra (SVCC).
The title, Vrushakarma, which translates to “one whose actions are righteous,” is said to aptly describe Naga Chaitanya’s protagonist, who appears to be on a quest driven by fury and purpose. The film, which is said to be a mythical adventure thriller exploring the universal themes of “good versus evil,” brings together a powerhouse technical crew – Director Karthik Dandu, known for the blockbuster success of Virupaksha, is expected to deliver a visually grand spectacle blending history and mythology. The film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, with Laapataa Ladies fame Sparsh Shrivastava set to play the antagonist. The score will be composed by Ajaneesh B. Loknath, celebrated for his work in Kantara. Naga Chaitanya, who is fresh off the success of his latest film Thandel, expressed his gratitude to Mahesh Babu and teased fans, “Karthik Dandu has something special coming your way for sure!” The makers have also encouraged fans to decode the poster, suggesting every element is placed with purpose. Vrushakarma is currently progressing with its shoot and is widely considered one of Naga Chaitanya’s most ambitious projects to date. The release date for the film is yet to be announced.
